Is Mayawati the best we have??

States like UP & Bihar have been caught in this vicious cycle of non availability of good leaders, people from UP & Bihar form the lowest layer of wealth as well as education pyramid & hence ill only choose a leader which as much resembles them. Which in turn creates a breed of leaders which are lesser qualified, incapable & incompetent and give unstable & indecisive governments. They are only looking to satiate their hunger for power & wealth.

Mayawati is a case in point. UP now has seen the regime of leaders ranging from Kalyan Singh to Mayawati and in one of those regimes there was an arrangement of 6 month Mayawati, 6 month Kalyan regime. Mayawati took the first stint & withdrew support when Kalyan Singhs turn came. Are these the kind of leaders we are looking up to to take us in the 21 st century where the only things they can think of is vote bank politics & as the vote bank is myopic so is the government & therefore lesser focus on long term issues.

Never has there been a time when we could have seen a leadership acumen of Mayawati, not once has she proved she can change the picture (she was CM 3 times 95, 97, 2002) like Laalu has railways turn around to his credit. With no pros to her rescue n all the cons that i am mentioning here, i shudder to picture to picturise UP after 5 Yrs:
- Reportedly highest no. of ppl with criminal records in party
- Corruption in Taj Corridor scam
- Assets highly disproportionate to assets
- Video cassette showing Mayawati asking her MLAs to hand over money from their annual constituency fund towards BSP's party fund

Probably my writing here of all this is also a waste as people who matter (the voters ) will never be reading this

kisi bhi aur state me jaake dekho ....they r much prosperous n doing good things for the citizens aur har ek state bhaiyoon ko sabse worst mana jaat hai, no matter how talented or hw good they are................

I dnt knw if u ve felt it or not but if my state wd have created the opportunities i wd have liked to come there n work but alas Mayawati again n it will be same or worst story again for next 5 yrs..............
No development n our state will remain the crap tht it is........

I am serious we can not shrug away from it..........
I feel depressed bcoz we have IIT + IIM passouts or ppl more talented n more able still ppl like Mayawati will rule us yes rule us, bcoz they dnt govern..............

Mulayam Rajnath all these guys were still ok but Mayawati..........
The state has gone to the dogs......n u ll realize 5 yrs later......
A small eg......... direct airticket to raipur from Mum(a much smaller metro) costs Rs 2000 wheras Mum to Lucknow (a much bigger metro) costs more then 3.5 times (Rs 7000) bcoz Lucknow has no economic potential at least in the eyes of LCC
